The first-ever South Carolina Tea Party Convention started Sunday and will wind up today at the Springmaid Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach.
But first, it was a stop for Governor Nikki Haley, First Congressional District Representative Tim Scott and a few of the candidates for the GOP presidential nomination.
The convention addressed deficit reduction, a proposed fair tax and increasing racial diversity in the conservative base.
Rick Santorum addressed the crowd just after 3 p.m., followed by Newt Gingrich.
Ron Paul was scheduled to speak - but didn't make it.
