In Florence Monday, about 300 people walked nearly two miles for the annual march to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

It's the largest crowd the event has attracted in years.

Participants marched to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge near downtown Florence.

Florence City Councilman Ed Robinson has organized the march since its beginning 10 years ago.

He wants the city to go a step further in honoring Dr. King. "I hope that one day we will be able to get a whole street or avenue or boulevard named after Dr. King, because the City of Florence, I mean most cities have that, and we do not. That's something that's the next thing we need to do."

Once they reached the MLK Bridge, they stopped, prayed and reflected on Dr. King's dream.
