HORRY COUNTY -- Horry County police say two men who stole purses from women in grocery store parking lots last week have been found already in jail on similar charges in North Carolina.

January 4, police responded to the Food Lion on Highway 17 in Little River, where a woman's purse was stolen. The man had jumped into a Chevy S-10 being driven by another man.

January 5, a woman's purse was taken at the Lowe's Foods on Hwy. 179 in Little River. The woman was also assaulted and lost a tooth. As in the first incident, the man got into a Chevy S-10 being driven by another man.

The investigation led detectives to the New Hanover County Detention Facility in Castle Hayne, North Carolina.

There, police found Callahan Sherman Seagle, 25, and Henry Logan Leggett II, 24, both of Calabash, NC.

Horry County police have warrants to charge Seagle with two counts of Armed Robbery and one count of Assault and Battery 1st Degree. Legette will be charged with three counts of Accessory Before the Fact of a Felony.

Police say the two will be formally charged upon their return to Horry County.
