The newest elected leaders in Myrtle Beach took their seats Tuesday.
Michael Chestnut, Susan Grissom Means and Philip Render were all re-elected in November.
They each took the oath-of-office at the Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center before Tuesday's meeting.
Michael Chestnut is starting his fourth term on council. "We have a group of people who are willing to sit down and work out our differences, and that's what it takes in order to get things done and move this city forward."
Following the ceremony, council met to talk about allowing horses on the beach for an American Heart Association event in November and to appoint council member Wayne Gray as mayor pro-tem, among other things.
