CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - It's getting easier for visitors to Charleston to get information about attractions, accommodations and restaurants.

The local Convention and Visitor Bureau on Tuesday unveils a new touch-screen kiosk that allows visitors to quickly get information about the area. The new device is named, appropriately enough, Charles.

It's being unveiled in time for the busy spring tourism season that unofficially gets under way next month with the return of the Southeastern Wildlife Expo.

Tourism is a $14 billion industry in the state and the Charleston area attracts about 4.5 million visitors a year.
