Around 9:30 Friday night, firefighters were called to numerous brush fires along Highway 707 near Murrells Inlet.

The fires were reported in the area of Prince Creek down to McDowell Shortcut Road.

Reports of new fires stopped coming in by about 10:30 p.m.

There is no word yet on what may have caused these fires, although firefighters say they don't look suspicious.

Firefighters are asking motorists to be careful when driving through the area.
