The East Florence Community Organization will hold a special tribute for one of their volunteers who was murdered New Year's Day.
Michael Hawkins, 49, was shot several times during a home invasion on Harmony Drive.
No arrests have been made so far.
Hawkins was well-loved in the Florence community for his volunteerism and his efforts to help children.
The tribute is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Levy Park in East Florence.
The police chief and mayor are scheduled to make remarks.
