Gas prices on the rise

Gas prices in the Myrtle Beach area jumped eight cents overnight, according to AAA.

The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline is now $3.22 a gallon.

On Thursday, it was $3.14.

Last week, it was $3.10, which is not much of a change compared to a month ago. Last year at this time, gas was about $2.90 a gallon.
