It appears there will be a runoff for a special election in the town of Andrews for a council seat.

The Georgetown County Election Commission says 140 ballots were cast in Tuesday's election to fill the unexpired term of Michael Shaw who recently resigned.

No one filed for the seat, so these were all write in ballots.

  • David Tisdale - 63 votes
  • Denise Donell Davis - 39 votes
  • Other - 28 votes
  • Under Votes - 10 votes

The election will be certified Thursday at 10 am. Since no one got a majority, that's when it will be decided if there will be a runoff.
