Firefighters battle early morning house fire

Jason co-hosts Good Morning Carolinas on NewsChannel 15 with Crystal Costa.

Horry County Fire Rescue along with Calabash Fire Department responded to a single home structure fire in Little River early this morning.

The fire happened at 1575 Edge Road around 1:30 a.m..

Firefighters arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

Leslie Yancey with Horry County Fire Rescue says nobody was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
