Myrtle Beach police arrested Michael Shawn Miller Tuesday at a hotel for Criminal Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature, Criminal Sexual Assault and Kidnapping.
A woman says he beat her with his hands, an ashtray, burned her with cigarettes and choked her.
She said he forced her to perform sexual acts and wouldn't let her leave.
When she finally did get away, she flagged someone down who called police.
She was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where she is being treated for several injuries caused by the attack.
The victim stated she had been living with Miller for three months and they do not have any children together.
Michael Miller had just got out of jail for assaulting the victim in a prior incident.
