Horry County Police are investigating a shooting at a home on Whetstone Drive in Carolina Forest around 11 p.m. Sunday.

According to Lt. Myron Creel, a man was shot in the leg during a home invasion.

The man, whose injuries are non-life threatening, was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment.

An incident report says the victim and a woman were watching television when two men forced open the front door and began shooting.

The woman told police they had no guns in the home and therefore, did not shoot back. Officers found a gun near the front door.

Police do not have any suspects.
