Florence County deputies charged Leonard Eugene Brockington with one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor first degree and one count of Committing a Lewd Act Upon a Child.
Deputies say he engaged in the acts with a six-year-old child between January and September.
Brockington is being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing before a circuit court judge.
