NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- The North Myrtle Beach City Council plans to take up a possible smoking ban Monday.
Smoke-Free Horry says 42 South Carolina cities an counties have enacted smoking bans, including some major coast tourism destinations like Surfside Beach.
The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce sent out a questionnaire to members asking the following questions:
1. Do you support a smoking ban inside public places?
2. Do you support a smoking ban in city-owned facilities?
3. Do you support a smoking ban in private places of employment?
It plans to present the findings at the meeting.
City Council plans to meet at 2p.m. Monday at City Hall.
