The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that killed a 60-year-old Hartsville man Tuesday afternoon.

Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identifies the man as Roger Burleson.

Troopers say the driver of a 2005 Ford Mustang was traveling on Mainsail Road in Hartsville, when he ran off the road and hit a tree.

Highway Patrol says Burleson was a passenger in the car and was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to be ok.
