Horry County Fire Rescue and Murrells Inlet Fire were called to a House fire on Daybreak Road in Murrells Inlet Tuesday night.

Leslie Yancey with Horry County Rescue says smoke was showing when firefighters arrived on scene around 7:30 p.m..

Yancey says the fire was contained in the kitchen on the first floor of a two story house. Firefighters had to use a ladder to get one person off the second floor.

That person is expected to be okay.

Yancey says the fire was put out within 10 minutes.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire was due to unattended cooking.
