Georgetown County Sheriff's Deputies are asking for help in locating Brian Keith Elliott of 235 West Virginia Road, in Georgetown for 2 counts of Attempted Murder. Elliott is wanted for the attempted murder of two victims that he invited to his residence and and then fired upon.
At approximately 11:00 p.m. on December 5, sheriff's deputies responded to the 521 Mini Mart, located at 9275 Highmarket Street in Georgetown County, to meet with the victim who allegedly was shot at by Elliott. Upon arrival, sheriff's deputies found the victim in the parking lot with his girlfriend who was also in the truck during the incident. Upon inspection of the truck, there were several bullet holes discovered as a result of the incident. The two victims were not injured.
The incident began shortly after Elliott contacted the victim and invited him to his house to assist with an injured dog. When the victim arrived with his girlfriend, they observed the suspect standing in his back yard. As the victim slowed down to turn into Elliott's yard, they saw him come running towards them. The victims felt that Elliott's actions were suspicious, and decided not to continue into Elliott's yard and instead flee. While fleeing, Elliott began firing an unknown firearm in their direction.
The victim exited the scene and was able to make it to highway 521 where he headed west at a high rate of speed. While fleeing for safety, Elliott was initially observed giving chase and at some point turned off with no further incident.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Brian K. Elliott, or has any information that can help in his location is urged to call 911.
