A paving contractor with a history as a scam artist in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee areas is in trouble again, this time in Maryland.

Tommy Clack turned himself into the authorities in Queen Anne County, Maryland Monday, on a warrant for working as a contractor without a license.

Clack is banned from doing business in North Carolina and South Carolina's Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation placed a cease and desist order on him two years ago.

He is also awaiting trial in two Maryland counties.
