The family says this picture was taken about 4 months ago and Richard's hair is much shorter now. They say he was last seen wearing a V-Neck American Eagle T-shirt, “skinny” American Eagle blue jeans, and white Nike high tops with the red Nike swoosh logo on the side of each shoe.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Update: Whidby was located Thursday afternoon and is home safe with his family.

The North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department is searching for Richard Andrew Whidby, 14, who may be in need of medical attention.

Whidby has brown hair and hazel eyes. He's approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 115 pounds.

Whidby was last seen near 805 Townsend Road in North Myrtle Beach about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department at (843) 280-5511.
