The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion in Pawleys Island, according to Public Information Officer Carrie Culbertson.
Deputies were called to the home off Grey Fox Court about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, the victim told deputies a masked man, dressed in dark clothing, knocked on his door. When he opened it, the man threatened the victim with a handgun. The victim said he swatted the gun away, slammed the door, and called police.
The man ran off.
No one was hurt.
