Gas prices on the Grand Strand and in the Pee Dee continue to drop, some stations below $3 a gallon.

The Murphy Express on the Highway 17 Bypass near Surfside Beach is at $2.97.

AAA says the average right now in Myrtle Beach is $3.10.

The Murphy Express actually had the cheapest gas around along with the Shell on Coventry Road and the Bypass.

The Hess on Holmestown Road near Scipio and the Citgo at Glenn's Bay Road and the Bypass have gas at $2.98 a gallon.

In Florence, $2.95 is the cheapest at the Sam's Club on Beltline Drive and the Panther on South Irby Street.

Tommy's Quick Mart, also on South Irby, is selling gas at $2.97.

Gas is down four cents from last week and 13 cents from last month.
