Many of you have already gathered everything you need for Thanksgiving dinner. Churches and other groups that plan on serving a holiday meal are also preparing for a big feast.

At Low Country Community Church in Murrells Inlet a group of members are cleaning and bagging the main course for their annual Thanksgiving dinner.

It took a couple of hours Wednesday morning to prep 30 turkeys.

"If we run out of food Wal-Mart's open we'll go down and cook some more," said member Rick Gibbins.

Thursday's dinner is called N.O.A.H which stands for "No One Alone on Holidays." Members say it's important for them to reach out as a church.

"Especially to show people that you care. Because people are alone and that's got be the worst feeling just to be spending a holiday on your own and just not be around other people and we want to show them that we are here and that we care," explained member Tim Scott.

The turkeys are about much more than feeding people.

"There's so many people here in Myrtle Beach that have come from out of town and a lot of people that are without jobs right now too. And so there's just so many people we wanted to be able to reach and offer an opportunity for them to come to the church," said Scott. "People that are in need and that's really who we're hoping to reach out to. And we know that they're aware of it we've had people come through the parking lot and ask us about it that are homeless.

"We're all about relationships in our church and relationship building in a church it matters to us not what your faith is it just matters to us that your here and we wish to share," added Gibbins.

This is the second year LC3 is serving a Thanksgiving meal. They expect to serve about 300 people.
