Johnson Controls of Florence donated five tons of food to Harvest Hope.
This is more than 7,500 meals for people in need in the Pee Dee.
The donation was a part of Harvest Hope's "Thanksgiving Harvest Challenge."
Officials with Johnson Controls say they felt compelled to help the organization.
"We understand that this is a challenging time, and that people need more support than ever during this time of year," said Larry Boswell, Johnson Controls.
Harvest Hope officials say they're always in need, especially around this time of the year.
"With unemployment so high we see a lot more people asking for more food, and thank goodness for Johnson Controls leading this food drive and this challenge that they had for us to be able to give more food back than we were able to give," said Michael Murphy, Harvest Hope.
