MYRTLE BEACH -- We have an extraordinary story to share about our former Chief Photographer Jimmy Moore and his new bride, our former producer Jaimie Moore.
Just two months ago, after they married this summer, Jimmy, who now works for WSPA in Spartanburg, was in a terrible car accident that left him paralyzed. The video above details his survival story and recovery as told by WSPA's Chris Cato.
For awhile, Jimmy worked at our competitor, WBTW and as a tribute to he and Jaimie and their courage, the two stations came together in an unprecedented partnership to co-host the Jimmy Moore shootout, a golf tournament in their honor.
Grande Dunes donated the course and Logans Roadhouse donated food to the event.
Together, with WBTW, we raised over $20,000 for the Jimmy Moore Healing Fund.
