SC Tea Party Convention coming to Myrtle Beach

The first South Carolina Tea Party Convention will be in Myrtle Beach at the same time many Republican candidates for president will be as well.

Tea Party members, grassroots leaders and members from all over the state will meet in Myrtle Beach on January 15th and 16th.

The convention will feature several speakers including elected officials and candidates.

Organizers say the event will not be open to the public, but they expect at least 400 people to attend.

Each GOP presidential candidate has been invited as well as state congressmen, senators and other leaders.

A Republican presidential debate will be held in Myrtle Beach on January 16th.
