HORRY COUNTY -- A federal grand jury indicted Monroe August Eggerling, 32, for four bank robberies on the Grand Strand.

Eggerling is accused of robbing the Horry County State Bank at 4600 Highway 17 Bypass, the TD Bank at 7901 North Kings Highway, the Wachovia Bank at 7201 North Kings Highway, and the First Citizens Bank at 4506 Socastee Blvd., between July 13th and September 29th.

The most recent robbery was at the First Citizens Bank on Socastee Blvd.

Officers say he got into a car chase with police and was eventually arrested.

If convicted, he could be fined $250,000 and receive 25 years in prison.
