The Horry County Board of Education is considering a move that might cost taxpayers thousands of dollars.
The board is considering changing the number of days guidance counselors work.
Right now, they work 190 days, but the board is considering increasing that to 210 days.
Board member Joe DeFeo says that would cost about $4,000 to $5,000 for each counselor.
It's unclear if that would be paid for by increasing taxes or shifting costs within the district.
The board will discuss the issue again at their next meeting on November 28th.
