Highway Patrol began chasing a vehicle on Highway 31 in Horry County just before 5 p.m. Monday.
Spokesman Sonny Collins says an officer tried to pull the suspect over at mile marker 5, but the suspect didn't stop.
The chase ended a short time later at mile marker 10.
Collins says he cannot say what speeds the chase reached.
He says the entire case has been handed over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
