HORRY COUNTY, S.C. - Wal-Mart's in Horry County were evacuated Saturday night because of a bomb threat.
Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County Police says an anonymous caller told 911 there was a bomb in a Wal-Mart that would go off at 9 p.m. Because the description was vague, police evacuated the Wal-Mart in Carolina Forest off highway 501. It was the closest store to the area from where the call came from.
After a search of the store, Lt. Denis says they did not find a bomb.
Police alerted other Wal-Mart stores in the area which led to the evacuation of the Wal-Mart on Seaboard St. in Myrtle Beach. Police say they did not find a bomb there.
