Judge Michael Nettles denied bond for Mike Huckabee Thursday morning. He's charged with homicide by child abuse in the death of Edna Trinity Hunt, 3.
The girl's mother, Atelia Hunt, will have a bond hearing this afternoon. Huckabee is said to be Hunt's boyfriend.
Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown described the child's injuries as the worst he's ever seen. Brown showed pictures of the injuries to the judge.
Deputy Solicitor Kernard Redmond says the 3-year-old was tortured.
Redmond says Huckabee is a danger to society and has ties out of state.
