A Marlboro County teenager will spend the next 23 years of his life in prison for voluntary manslaughter in an armed robbery.
Prosecutors say Marcus Townsend, 19, pleaded guilty Tuesday to the charges.
Townsend was originally charged with murder.
Police say he and three other teenagers held up the Kwik Stop on Marshall Street in Bennettsville, last May.
Officers say they shot and killed the store's owner, 44-year-old Samer Hussein.
No word on when the other suspects will be tried.
