A circuit court judge denied a request for the temporary injunction of a popular Myrtle Beach website.
Scott Pyle, an investment banker, made the request against David Hucks, the owner of Myrtle-Beach.Com several weeks ago. Pyle claimed Hucks improperly used the website to post articles related to Pyle's alleged involvement with a split in Myrtle Beach Community Church, also know as Beach Church, and the firing of a pastor.
Judge William Seals denied the injunction last week, which means the articles posted on the website do not have to be removed prior to a trial to determine whether the stories are defamatory in nature.
A trial date has not been scheduled.
Pyle also filed a lawsuit against Hucks in 2010 over a bad business deal.
