The driver and passenger have both died after a truck ran into a swampy area in Green Sea in Horry County.

It happened on Dogwood Road about 4 p.m. last Tuesday.

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge says the passenger, 28-year-old Curtis Bennett of Loris, died Friday night at a hospital from complications from the wreck.

Highway Patrol says the GMC pickup ran off the road and overturned into pond. The driver was killed.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler identified the driver as Charles Smith, 46, of Loris.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.

Highway Patrol is investigating.
