(AP) -- Williamsburg County is opening a $6 million building in Kingstree to house various county departments.
The Morning News of Florence reported that many county employees will move into the new administration building in January.
County Supervisor Stanley Pasley says the building will house administrative offices, with a separate structure for the county council chambers.
Councilwoman Jeannie Brown-Burrows of Hemingway says the new building will streamline business since many departments have been scattered in a number of buildings.
The new building includes the auditor, tax collector and treasurer.
