(AP) -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry plans to give a policy speech on the economy at a stop in Gray Court as he continues his bid for the Republican presidential nomination.
Perry's campaign said he will return to South Carolina Tuesday with a stop at a business. He'll speak later to reporters at the Statehouse in Columbia.
Perry has been trying to regain ground lost in the past month as voter interest has surged in businessman Herman Cain.
Meanwhile, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman plans to return to the state on Nov. 3 for a Republican party fundraising breakfast in Myrtle Beach.
Candidate filing fees and fundraisers are covering much of the cost of South Carolina's Jan. 21 primary.
