Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified Saturday morning the person killed in Friday afternoon's shooting as Ernest Lee Russell, Jr. of Darlington. He says the body has been sent to Newberry for autopsy.
Sgt. Kim Nelson says around 3:15 p.m., deputies went to a business on South Main Street to serve a warrant when shots were fired.
Sgt. Nelson says one person was shot and killed. She would not comment on who did the shooting.
State police have been called in to help in the investigation.
