Micha Cantor, 10, of Garden City was named Surfer of the Week for the National Scholastic Surfing Association.
Cantor racked up 3 wins in the Open Boys, Mini Groms and the Explorer Menehuene divisions at the Mid Atlantic season opener in Nags Head, NC.
Cantor started surfing at the Garden City pier and still surfs there with role model and National Champion Cam Richards.
Some of Cantor's sponsors include Billabong, Von Zipper, and Perfection Surf Boards.
