Tuesday, Governor Nikki Haley visited Williams School in Florence and talked to 7th and 8th graders about bullying.
She told them how she was bullied as a student and how it made her feel.
Haley also shared a video with students featuring University of South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier and Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney. In the video, the coaches asked students to tell an adult if they're being bullied.
The governor encouraged the students not to fight back but to use their voices against the people who bully by speaking up.
Haley also took questions from students. Many of them wanted to know did she ever dream of being governor. Haley said she never planned on being governor when she was younger, but saw a need to make changes and ran for the office.
Haley told the kids her number one goal is to bring down the unemployment rate.
Right now, 11% of the workforce in the Palmetto State is out of work. Haley says she wants to put those people back to work by continuing to bring in major industries to the state.
Tuesday evening at 6:30, Haley will hold a town hall meeting at Francis Marion University in Florence.
