More than 30 people came out to participate in a fundraising motorcycle ride organizers by the Myrtle Beach chapter of old coots on scoots Saturday afternoon.

NewsChannel 15 caught up with the coots before they took off on the ride. The group was hoping to raise at least $4,000 for honor flight.

Honor Flight is a non profit that sends WWII veterans to Washington D.C. to see the WWII memorial.

"This is such a great way to say thank you," said organizer Mary Woke. "My parents, God rest their souls were World War Two veterans and I'm saying that you to my parents. I'm saying that you to everybody that's helped us."

The group rode from Murrell's Inlet to Carolina Forest in a police escort.
