Florence police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Thursday night.

According to Florence Police Major Carlos Raines, two men walked into Yates Station convenience store at 1102 W. Evans St. around 9 p.m.

Police say the men told everyone in the store to move aside as they made their way to the cash registers. They say one man was armed with a shot gun and pointed the gun in the clerks face and said "give me the money."

Raines says the clerk gave the robbers the money from both registers and told the suspects that was all they had. The men then ran out of the store.

One man was wearing a torn blue shirt and dark clothing with a blue bandana over his face. The other was wearing a white t-shirt over his face and dark clothing.

If you have any information that could help solve this robbery, you're asked to contact the Florence Police Department at (843) 665-3191.
