A woman and her boyfriend have been arrested after the woman's child was found with bruises and scratches on her body.
Jackie Ann Dickerson, 25, and James Cameron Carlyle, 45, have been charged with infliction or allowing infliction of great bodily injury upon a child.
Wednesday, Horry County officers were called to an Horry County elementary school after bruises were discovered on a five year old girl, including a large bruise on her jawline and bruises on her arms and back.
The child was taken into emergency protective custody.
