Darlington County Deputies and the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force arrested Derrick Swinney, 43, of Hartsville for Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree and Kidnapping.
Deputies say Swinney was giving a woman a ride when he took her to an abandoned mobile home on North Gov. Williams Highway in Darlington. Deputies say he held her against her will and sexually assaulted her.
Swinney is a registered sex offender and is classified as an adult predator. Swinney was convicted in 1999 of criminal sexual conduct second degree.
Swinney is in the Darlington County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
