Luke Gordon, 11, of Pawleys Island won the Menehunes division at the Easterns Surfing Championship in Nags Head, NC on Saturday. This is his third time in a row winning in this division. The only other surfer to accomplish this was Kelly Slater.

After qualifying in the local and regional districts, Gordon made it to the Grand Finals of the Easterns where he placed first over many other Grand Strand and East Coast surfers.

Katie Gordon, Luke Gordon's sister, placed 2nd in the girls short board competition.
