A very slow moving Upper Low cut off from the jetstream to our north will slowly move east over the next several days. This will continue to stream tropical moisture across the East Coast keeping us warm and humid with the chance for scattered rain showers and storms. Our weekend will be a little drier, but the chance for scattered rain will still exist. A cold front will come through early next week bringing drier conditions behind it. Temps will stay in the low to mid 80s in the afternoon with lows near 70 overnight.
Tropical Storm Ophelia remains in the Atlantic and has been weakening over the past 24 hours as it interacts with moderate wind shear. It is still forecast to make a gradual turn northward into early next week. Head over to our Tropical Update page where you can get the latest on T.S. Ophelia.
