(AP) -- South Carolina 1st District Congressman Tim Scott is hosting the third-ranking Republican in the U.S. House during a Lowcountry visit.
Calif. Rep. Kevin McCarthy is accompanying Scott on Monday for a tour of the Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital in Charleston and a tour of the Boeing Plant in North Charleston.
They will also tour a Navy installation and meet with local business leaders.
Later in the day, the two join South Carolina congressmen Joe Wilson, Mick Mulvaney, Jeff Duncan, and Trey Gowdy at a news conference followed by a boat tour of the Port of Charleston.
