MARION -- A first grader at Easterling Primary School in Marion got a big surprise Friday.
LaShaon Davis, 6, was shocked when his father surprised him after returning home from Iraq.
The two were able to share hugs and kisses, something they haven't done in 5 months.
Staff Sergeant Shaon Davis, served in Iraq as a crew chief for Air Force Maintenance.
"It was amazing, I wanted to cry but I didn't cry because I knew he would but I can't wait to get him home." Davis says.
The Marion Wal-mart held a special ceremony for Davis Friday morning to thank him for his service.
