NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Horry County Schools announced North Myrtle Beach Elementary students can return to class Thursday morning.
The school has been closed for the past two days after a transformer knocked out power on Tuesday and a circuit breaker caught fire early Wednesday morning.
Maintenance workers replaced the broken breaker Wednesday afternoon.
Horry County Schools spokesperson Teal Britton says the school is now safe for classes to begin.
