(AP) -- The South Carolina National Guard is hosting a ceremony to honor the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11.

Guard spokeswoman Maj. Cindi King says Maj. Gen. Robert Livingston is welcoming leaders of the Third Army, Fort Jackson and members of the South Carolina Army and Air National Guard at the ceremony at Fort Jackson on Wednesday.

The vice president of USO centers in the United States, Jeff Hill, is also expected to attend.

The event is being followed by a ribbon cutting for a so-called "USO in a Box." The box is a mobile center that includes phones, computers, video phones, video games and other activities to entertain troops in their off hours.
