MARION COUNTY -- An Aynor woman was arrested for embezzling $350,000 from Cruisers car dealership in Marion County.

Marion County deputies charged Wanda Jones, 48, with criminal conspiracy, forgery, breach of trust and financial transaction card fraud.

They say while working as the secretary at Cruisers, Jones changed amounts on checks and changed the names to her husband's so he could cash them. Deputies say money was also missing from the Cruisers business account and Jones had a Paypal account set up with Cruisers account number. The car dealership owner says he and Jones were the only two people with the account number.

Jones husband, David, is accused of cashing the checks at Pee Dee Federal Credit Union in Marion. David Jones is charged with criminal conspiracy.

The embezzlement was first reported in April and thought to be in the amount of $30,000 to $50,000. As the owner looked at the books, he found it started in 2006 and amounts to $350,000.
