The tropical moisture associated with Tropical Depression Lee will continue to stream up the East Coast over the next few days as the remnant low merges with a cold front. This will keep the chance for scattered rain and a few storms in the forecast through Wednesday. When we are not seeing scattered rain showers and storms, expect mostly cloudy skies and muggy conditions. Highs will stay in the mid 80s. By the middle of the week, "Lee" will move toward the Northeast and drier air will get pulled in behind it and down into the Carolinas. This will bring more sunshine and lower humidity levels back to the area.
While "Lee" works its way up the East Coast spreading soaking rain throughout the Southeast, Hurricane Katia continues to work its way through the Atlantic. Katia will head toward the East Coast through the beginning of the week, but make a turn away from the coast through the end of the week as a cold front and the remnant low of "Lee" comes up the East.
